Delete your account
You can permanently delete your Stackheim account at any time. This page explains what happens when you do, what data is removed, and how to start the process.
01What happens when you delete your account
Deleting your account is a single-step, irreversible action. Your session is terminated immediately and your authentication credentials are removed so you can no longer sign in. Every piece of personal data linked to your account is removed from our production database.
There is no grace period and no way to recover the account afterwards. If you're unsure, consider signing out instead.
02What gets deleted
The following data is removed:
- Profile— display name, bio, avatar, friend code, and email address.
- Decks— all decks you own, along with their versions, cards, notes, primers, and folders.
- Collection— every card in your collection and any collection folders you've created.
- Games— game sessions you've played in, game history, and life-total events.
- Friends— friendships, pending friend requests, and any references to you in other users' friend lists.
- Preferences— user settings, presets, and subscription records.
- Authentication— your email, password hash, and any linked sign-in providers.
Anonymous analytics (PostHog) are not linked to your account and cannot be used to identify you, so they are retained as described in our Privacy Policy.
03Retention
All personal data is removed from our production database immediately. Any copies that exist in encrypted backups are purged within 30 days, matching the retention promise in our Privacy Policy.
